kiitos living by design is a gorgeous design store in Barwon Heads owned by local Maria Malakellis who is just as friendly and beautiful as the wares she sells.
Kiitos means thank you in Finnish and offers labels for both adults and kids such as marimekko from Helsinki, Suck UK from London or Saltwater Sandals from St. Louis (Missouri/USA) to name a few.
Housed in a transformed garage with walls now painted in stark white it is definitely worth a visit and a browse. The store is a happy space really where one can forget all the worries in the world and simply enjoy everything pretty.
Maria Malakellis is all smiles as we are having a little chat outside her store. She loves everything Scandinavian, despite growing up in Barwon Heads in the seventies and likes to share this love with others; and she is doing this passionately in this very picture perfect place on the Bellarine Peninsula in Victoria.
One cannot miss it; you will find kiitos living by design straight of the Barwon Heads Bridge, where the Barwon River enters the waters of the Southern Ocean.
